Success Story Sunday – Boone

Boone was underweight and scared when he arrived at BARC last October, but that is definitely no longer the case! He was adopted into a loving family with furry siblings and couldn’t be happier and more comfortable. From his new mom:

“Thought you might want to see how he’s doing! Still growing and gaining weight! He is getting really good at stay and wait. He is truly an amazing dog; we feel so blessed to have him. He fits in perfectly with my other dogs. Boone knows how to read other dogs and adjusts his behavior appropriately! We think he is a vizsla/coonhound mix.”

It’s so great to hear how Boone’s life has turned around!

Success Story Sunday – Elsie (fka Sweet Pea)

Last September, after a brief stay in Houston with RPM fosters Karen & Gary, Elsie (formerly Sweet Pea) transported to Colorado and found her forever home with Megan & Ryan. Elsie just celebrated her first birthday, and she has quite the life. She lives in Seattle now, and loves all that the city has to offer, especially the beach!

Happy birthday, Elsie! Enjoy beautiful Washington!

Success Story Sunday – Scout (formerly Tulip)

Scruffy Scout is growing quickly and settling comfortably into her new life in Colorado. Her new family loves her cute personality! From her new mom:

“She is growing SO fast.  She’s gained two pounds since we’ve had her.  We have all fallen hard for her.  She’s incredibly cute and has such a funny personality.  She enjoys things like chasing her own tail and falling over when she’s trying to get at an itch at her back end.  She’s in puppy school and is a quick learner, she’s mastered sit, down and working on sit/stay among other things.  She is fearless, she’s already attacked a squirrel in our backyard and is getting lots of dog park time and walks. We took her over to the Chatfield Dog Park this weekend and she got into the water for the first time and had a blast splashing around and trying to bite the water.”

We’re so happy to hear that Scout is having a wonderful time, growing and learning like crazy in her new home!

Success Story Sunday – Bella and Hippos

A while ago, we had a happy update from Hippos. As tiny newborns, Hippos and his eight brothers and sisters traveled with their mom, Fancy, to Colorado. Hippos wound up being adopted by his Colorado foster, and his sister, Bella, was adopted by a neighbor! Living just down the street from each other, both get to have regular play dates!

Success Story Sunday – Beau (formerly Ninja)

Beau (formerly Ninja) is another sweet pup that RPM transported to our good friends at 4 Paws 4 Life in Colorado. As can be seen in the photos, he is a happy pup and growing like a weed. His new family says that he loves to chase his tail and roll in the grass. He is a swimmer, and always jumps in the creek on walks. He’ll soon finish his shots and start puppy kindergarten, but he has already learned so much! He is fully crate trained and knows how to sit, shake, and lay down. He is a smart, energetic boy, and we’re so happy to hear that he is doing so well!
