Let’s put the GIVING in Thanksgiving: 47 BARC pets saved.

image

Friends,

Rescued Pets Movement vowed last Thursday at its media launch that one of its goals is that no puppy will die at BARC. We also said we were going to take a break to enjoy Thanksgiving with our families. Those two plans conflicted, however, when we received emails from BARC about puppies about to be put down. So, we thought, “Meh, who needs rest anyway,” and in just 2 days, we have pulled 46 puppies (and a few older dogs) and one kitten from BARC. Pictures of some of those saved are below. (For all of our cat friends, we ARE working on helping more cats and kittens. The demand for cats and kittens is not as great as for dogs and puppies. But we are not giving up!)

If you are able to temporarily foster and open your home and heart to any of these pets, PLEASE let us know. Contact us at foster@rescuedpetsmovement.org. PLEASE.

If you cannot foster and are willing to donate, PLEASE do. No amount is too small. You can make a tax-deductible donation by credit card by going to our website at www.rescuedpetsmovement.org and clicking the donate tab. Or if you prefer to donate by check, please make it out to “RPM Inc.” and mail it to us at

RPM Inc.
3139 W. Holcombe Blvd. #135
Houston, Texas 77025

If you cannot foster or donate, please don’t stress about it. Just PLEASE forward this email to all of your contacts and ask them to forward the email to all of their contacts.

Every cent of your donation will go toward transporting these well-deserving pets, toward temporarily fostering a pet until he or she can be transported, or toward reasonable and necessary vetting expenses. Any excess funds we receive will automatically be applied to our next transport or BARC pull.

Thank you so much for your help and your voice. Together we can make Houston a no-kill city.

Help us, if you can.

Friends,

As soon as we pull them out and transport them, people surrender more dogs or drop off unwanted puppies. Currently BARC is already at capacity since last Friday with almost 200 dogs and 100 cats. BARC needs RPM to get all of the little ones listed in the photos below out of the shelter before they’re put to sleep. We’re happy to do it, but can you help us by fostering one or two or more until we can transport them to Colorado on the 21st? RPM covers all vet expenses, can assist with food, has fabulous puppy packs, and can provide a crate. We just need to get them out of BARC tomorrow. You will save a life and make a big difference. Please, help us out by sharing this plea with your friends!

Thank you!

UPDATE: All of the dogs and cats mentioned in the above post and an additional 17 more now have foster homes for a total of 38 dogs and cats saved. THANK YOU for your help. We’ll be needing homes for more dogs and cats VERY soon, so please contact us at fosters@rescuedpetsmovement.org if you’re interested in opening your home for a short time for a dog or cat in need. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you. Did I say thank you? Thank you!
