Paprika Gets Second Chance At Life Thanks to a Special Foster and Rescued Pets Movement

Prudence marks her 5th birthday with a generous gift for Rescued Pets Movement

Thanks to a kindhearted foster and Rescued Pets Movement, this tiny kitten found a new life with a rescue cat who’d just given birth to two of her own.

TikToker Erin Berger (@erins_fosters) swooped in to save and foster little Paprika when she was just moments away from being euthanized.

A short time later, Erin was able to save a mama cat and her two new babies from the euthanasia room from the same shelter. By putting Paprika with the two other babies to get their scent on her, she was able to introduce Paprika to her new mom and integrate her into her new adoptive family! You’ll want to watch the videos and follow along with her journey!!

@erins_fosters A sleepy Sunday with Paprika and family ❤️ This entire family was hours away from being put down at an overcrowded shelter. There are millions of homeless animals in Texas and shelters cannot save them all 😓 The best way to prevent de@ths like this is to get your pets fixed and adopt instead of buying from breeders! #kittens #kittenrescue #adoptdontshop #spayandneuter #spayandneuteryourcats #catlover #cattok #catrescue #dogrescue #fosterkittens #fosteringsaveslives ♬ A lullaby music box song for babies to listen to(1187236) – Yasu

We are proud to have been a part of Berger saving Paprika!  At Rescued Pets Movement, we’ve helped to save more than 91,000 pets from euthanasia since 2013.  We need devoted fosters like Erin more than ever, as there are millions of homeless animals in Texas and shelters cannot save them all. These sweet animals were hours away from being euthanized, but because of Erin’s kindness, they were given a new chance at life.

Why I Foster…

We started fostering after our personal pets all passed as we hope to travel extensively. Fostering fills the void when we are home and our goal is to fill them with love before their journey. It’s always hard to let go but the posts from other fosters make you know that you are not alone. Plus, there’s always another to help. RPM has made such a difference for Houston area animals. I always feel supported and heard.”
