About Rescued Pets Movement

Rescued Pets Movement Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that gives thousands of homeless dogs and cats a second chance through rehabilitation and transport to rescue partners across the U.S. and Canada.

Each year, thousands of adoptable dogs and cats are needlessly euthanized in the Greater Houston area simply because of overpopulation. After years in rescue work, RPM’s founders saw that the best way to save more dogs and cats was to partner with reputable rescues across the U.S. and Canada and transport pets to them using our own vans and drivers.

The dogs and cats we save from BARC (Houston’s City Pound) and other area shelters are fully examined and treated by our partner veterinarians. They are then placed temporarily in foster homes with our volunteers until they are ready for transport to their new homes.

Since 2013, Rescued Pets Movement has saved the lives of over 100,000 homeless animals by rescuing them from area shelters and transporting them to permanent homes. The number of rescued pets is growing every week!
