In our last post containing photos of the dogs who were moved from Houston toward homes last week, the first dog you’ll see is Babe. Every RPM dog and cat has a compelling story, and this is part of Babe’s as shared by our friends at Houston’s Homeless Pet Placement League:
In this season of giving, HPPL is proud to have been a part of giving a tiny girl a chance. Babe arrived at BARC with a fractured pelvis, left femur and left hip. Our good friends at Rescued Pets Movement gave her the gift of life by pulling her and sending her for surgery. Anytime, RPM asks HPPL for assistance, we give it, so HPPL helped underwrite the costs of her surgeries. Her foster mom and dad gave her the gift of healing and love and the gift of sending her to a new place. Her transport driver gave her a safe ride and safe arms along the way. Then on Friday, nearly three months after she was brought in a “broken” dog, she was given the opportunity for adoption through a fabulous Colorado group called 4Paws. We are all sure Babe will be home for Christmas thanks to the efforts and teamwork of so many wonderful people. Tis the season to be jolly:)
Thank you to HPPL, Babe’s foster parents in Texas and Colorado, and all the staff from BARC, the vets, Colorado rescue, and RPM who shepherded Babe through the system to a new and beautiful life.
